Tallahassee Democrat

Business Matters Staff Report

TechExpo 2010, the third annual conference of the Tallahassee Technology Alliance, will take place Thursday with sessions on the future of information technology and trends likely to affect business.

“TechExpo 2010: The Power of 10″ will cover four aspects of emerging IT developments – cloud computing and virtualization; technology and the economy; social media and communication; and information security and infrastructure, TalTech said.

According to TalTech Chair Chet Hall, the “Power of 10″ theme highlights “the kinetic and potential energy that IT has in our region” and relates to the year (2010), the start of a new decade, the Interstate 10 corridor the region serves, and the conference length – precisely 10 hours.

Giving the keynote address will be Alfredo Sanchez, CEO and chairman of QoS Labs, the software development and digital services company in Boca Raton. His topic will be “The Next Web.”

TechExpo will be held at Tallahassee Community College’s Center for Workforce Development. Visit www.taltech.org and click on “upcoming events” for more details or to register.
