Discovery celebrates 1st anniversary
Discovery at Cascades Park’s Presenting Sponsor First Commerce invites the community to help celebrate the 1st anniversary of Discovery Saturday, March 14 from 2 to 5 p.m.
In addition to the interactive play at Discovery, there will be family-friendly fun from 2 to 5 p.m. including hands-on art activities, a bounce house, giveaways, refreshments, and an appearance by First Commerce’s Sammy Squirrel mascot. Every hour starting at 2:30, Esposito Lawn and Garden Center, a Discovery in-kind donor, will offer workshops on spring gardening.
First Commerce’s Discovery event leads up to the City Parks & Recreation Department’s Cascades Park 1st birthday celebration, which begins at 5 p.m. with classic birthday party games & cupcakes and will feature “Toy Story” on a big screen in the amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
