The Amazing Capital Race is a community-event created to showcase Tallahassee’s unique attributes, districts and character. The challenges along the route will include a mix of physical, mental and creative tasks, and individuals of all levels are encouraged to participate. Supporting the 3rd annual Amazing Capital Race and encouraging everyone to get out and #SeeTallahassee is one element of KCCI’s SeeTallahassee community catalyst project, which kicked off in 2015. KCCI’s 14-member all-volunteer team adopted the goal of supporting Tallahassee’s new wayfinding signage system, intended to direct citizens and visitors to key central locations and area placemaking districts.
In addition to the race, the SeeTallahassee campaign also includes an artistic map, which can be downloaded here, murals in several of the city’s placemaking districts and an upcoming interactive web site.
Werner Hyundai has joined the Amazing Capital Race event as the title sponsor and will host a series of challen
ges at the dealership leading up to race day on September 17. This week’s challenge includes grabbing a cup of complimentary coffee at the dealership and completing a series of tasks on social media. Werner Hyundai is the premier Hyundai dealership in North Florida and South Georgia.
