A Greener Tallahassee

The Frenchtown Farmer’s Market KCCI team is working alongside The Community Garden Network of the Capital Region to make Tallahassee a greener and healthier community. These groups aim to increase awareness about the importance of healthy eating and gardening in the community.

The Community Garden Network of the Capital Region is a network devoted to furthering the success and prevalence of community gardens in the capital region of Florida and around the world. It also serves as a source for gardening knowledge and a way to connect with like-minded garden enthusiasts in the surrounding area. This organization works towards making Tallahassee greener and healthier, while strengthening our communities.

The group is open to the public and holds quarterly meetings that include hands-on workshops and resources to build your neighborhood’s garden. If you are interested in learning more, visit the table at the Chain of Parks Art Festival on Saturday, April 16th, and the Healthy Communities Festival in Cascades Park on Saturday, April 23rd. The next meeting will be held in May. For more information, visit their Facebook page or email [email protected].
