Urban Land Institute Hosts Placemaking Event

Placemaking has become an important driver of value in the design of communities around the world.

By capitalizing on local assets such as parks and art, you create an appealing and unique place where people want to live, work and play. This tool also gives smaller and medium-sized cities an opportunity to attract and retain the talent and investment in business necessary to compete with larger urban centers.

The North Florida sector of the Urban Land Institute will be holding an event, “Placemaking and Parks as Economic Drivers,” on September 5th from 3:30-6pm at The Edison. ULI Senior Fellow Juanita Hardy  is the keynote speaker and will share her knowledge on placemaking and its impact on cities similar to Tallahassee.
