KCCI Celebrates 10th Anniversary and Announces 2018 Catalyst Project

On September 21st, KCCI held their 10th anniversary and Annual Showcase where over 200 guests gathered in their most vibrant outfits to celebrate a decade of transformation in Tallahassee. The event was held in Midtown at the chic music venue, Fifth and Thomas, a location that has played its part in past KCCI Catalyst projects such as Amp Up Tallahassee and Tallahassee Music Week. The location was kept secret until days before, creating lots of buzz around the reception. Guests were able to enjoy locally sourced hors d’oeuvres and specialty craft cocktails with names such as Gaines Genius, Midtown Maven and Creative Catalyst, while listening to the beautiful music of Ben Laughed and learning about the 2018 Catalyst Project.

The current KCCI Catalyst team shared updates on their I Heart Tally project and announced that the mobile sign will be finished mid- October. After congratulating the catalyst team for their hard work and dedication, Executive Director Betsy Couch revealed the 2018 Catalyst Project, University Community Connectivity. The project initiative will focus on strengthening the bond between university students and the Tallahassee community and possible ways students can use their academic skills to in turn serve the community of their alma mater. Those interested in becoming a Creative Catalyst can apply here.
