Student Design Collaborators
Students served as design collaborators with the asphalt art artist and project team for Crosswalks to Classrooms.
Kate Sullivan Elementary and Cobb Middle School students were at the center of the planning and design process, exposing them to careers in art, communications, and city planning.
Via interactive exercise and lessons they were able to provide input on what colors and symbols should be used in the crosswalks design. Once they symbols were finalized, they submitted crosswalk designs. From this the professional artist created complimentary, yet unique designs, for each crosswalk that reflected student ideas.
