Bicentennial Park Ideas
The 2024 Community Catalyst Team will soon begin their training and planning for this year’s project; the bicentennial park in downtown in honor of Tallahassee’s 200th anniversary. This team of community volunteers will collaborate with the public, the Tallahassee chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Office of Mayor John Dailey, the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority and others to design a bicentennial park concept in downtown Tallahassee.
They will engage with diverse groups — residents, students, businesses, local governments and others — through participatory urban planning. The goal is to create a memorable public place, in the heart of downtown, that will celebrate the city’s past and future in the spirit of the Tallahassee Bicentennial.
Additionally, we have created a Google form to hear your ideas for the bicentennial park. Please take a minute to fill out the form with your information and ideas, here.
