Help Beautify Cobb Middle School
Register HERE to channel your inner artist and bring this new mural to life at the corner of Miccosukee Road & Hillcrest Street. Be part of creating Tallahassee’s newest mural under the leadership of professional muralist Amanda VanStratum and the Living Canvas Studio team. Cobb Middle School was the site of the original Crosswalk to Classroom, which was removed fall 2025 due to a new State mandate. Students and neighbors expressed the desire to still see colorful murals and art in the neighborhood, so KCCI worked with the school and neighbors to develop a placemaking plan for improvements. The improvements will occur in September and include new Cobb Middle School signage at all 3 entrances, the colorful mural bordering Miccosukee Road, a new school-spirit fence mural, new signage at the vehicle entrance of the school and landscaping improvements. This mural and community clean up event are made possible by VyStar Credit Union as part of Good is everywhere. Join the KCCI team as we add finishing touches to the mural and help beautify the neighborhood and school grounds.
