Christine White is the Executive Director of the Tallahassee Village Square, a nonprofit organization focused on bridging the town hall of the 21st century across the partisan divide. She has spent her career working to improve people’s lives and help make the world a better place. Christine’s formal education in public relations and communications provided her with the skills necessary to turn her passion for helping others into a successful and fulfilling career. She’s worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations in the areas of communications, public speaking, events management, fundraising, and advocacy. Her work with The Village Square has spanned more than a decade of gathering our local citizens together to break out of our silos, shed our prejudices, and open our hearts and minds to experience the richness that is woven into our diverse community.
Christine also spent several years as an entrepreneur applying her passion for helping people achieve their happiest, healthiest version of themselves as a certified wellness coach, personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and yoga teacher. In addition, she served as the Florida Department of Children and Families’ first ever Statewide Director of the Office of Well-being where she built a new employee wellness program for a statewide workforce of more than 13,000 employees.
Christine deeply values community engagement and has volunteered her time and talents with local organizations such as Working Well, Girls on the Run, Girl Scouts, Sustainable Tallahassee, School of Arts and Sciences, Capital City Moms Club, Capital Area Gator Club, and her own Neighborhood Association. In addition to her professional wellness certifications, Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and master’s degree in mass communications, both from the University of Florida. Those who know Christine personally would describe her as the ultimate optimist who is addicted to happiness and truly loves making genuine human connections, as well as a nutrition nut, hot yoga fanatic, fitness junkie, and most of all, proud mama of her daughter, Julia.
