As one of only 4,000 nationally accredited public relations professionals, Stacey has spent more than a decade directing award-winning marketing and public relations campaigns in the corporate, nonprofit, government and political arenas. She currently serves as partner and vice president of public relations at Taproot, a widely respected, research-driven communications agency serving clients internationally.
In 2009, she was recruited by Taproot to help grow the firm’s advertising and Web design business into a full-service integrated marketing agency. In less than three years, the firm more than doubled its staff, opened a second office in South Florida and broadened its services to include behavior-change research, brand strategy and public relations.
Previously, Stacey served as vice president of communications for a leading youth-serving nonprofit, where she generated significant gains in private donations, volunteerism and positive media coverage. Prior to that, she directed community relations campaigns at a revered Florida-based public affairs firm. Stacey began her career with one of the nation’s top public relations agencies where she assisted in the development of creative campaigns for clients in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Stacey is a summa cum laude graduate of Florida State University’s College of Communication and lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Jon, and their three young children. She channels her passion for the community by volunteering through her church and serving in leadership positions with various local nonprofit groups. She was selected as a KCCI community catalyst in 2007 and is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee Class 27.
