Market District Road Map to Success
2020The Market Street visioning project worked to accelerate ongoing efforts to enhance the Market Street area as a thriving pedestrian-friendly, accessible shopping, dining, entertainment and business district.
After a year and a half visioning process between 2019-2020, the Road Map to Success: Market Street Visioning Summary Report was produced and showcases recommended placemaking improvements for the area. KCCI’s Executive Director created it with involvement from Center for Active Design, thanks to funding from a private grant from the Knight Foundation.

Bicentennial Square Vision Plan
December 2024KCCI’s Community Catalyst team worked with the community, businesses and City of Tallahassee team members to envision Bicentennial Square. The report summarizes community input, the plans and serves as a guide for the City of Tallahassee and downtown leaders and they bring the plans to fruition.

2009Goals of this project by Collegia included (1) Identifying a baseline college graduate retention figure for the Tallahassee region; (2) Better understanding why students choose to stay or leave upon graduation; (3) Integrating recommendations with existing community projects to leverage and enhance Tallahassee’s creative economy.

Knight Soul of the Community 2010: Tallahassee Implications
2010The purpose of Knight Soul of the Community is to provide communities a roadmap for understanding what attaches residents to their community and why it matters – not to be prescriptive on what communities should do with the information. However, the findings do point to some general implications and suggestions, some of which the community may be already undertaking, or provide new opportunities for consideration.

Cascades Park Research by Cultivate Cascades Team
2012Drawing upon a multi-method approach, KCCI Cultivate Cascades Initiative Team members canvassed the community to ask what business and community leaders and future park patrons what they want to see and do at Cascades Park. Based on this research, the group identified key issues and was presented numerous ideas about how to best develop programming for Cascades Park in the coming year (and beyond).

Leon County Economic Feasibility Assessment
2012The purpose of this report is to assist in the decision making regarding the feasibility of a sports complex or facility that can attract large, regional, multi‐state and national tournaments and events to the area as part of an economic development strategy for Leon County, Florida. The report provides a full study and review of the market for these types of facilities, competitor analysis, sports and recreation participation and spending trends, potential site evaluations, and facility recommendations with capital costs. The full report also provides a pro‐forma model illustrating how the facility will monetize as well as the economic impact for the entire County.

Cycling Research Report
2020Drawing upon a multi-method approach, KCCI set forward with community engagement to gain a generalized assessment of Tallahassee’s bicycling opportunities and offer recommendations that could guide planning, development and investment decisions, with the view toward helping bicycling amenities in Leon County continue to thrive and serve as economic drivers for the community.
