Congratulations 2021 Catalyst Class
Congratulations to the 2021 Community Catalyst Class! We are excited to see what this diverse team accomplishes in the Tallahassee community. At the Meet and Greet this morning on Dec. 8, 2020, the Catalysts began exchanging ideas and planning their small group presentations for the Catalyst Training Session in January.
Each year, KCCI Community Catalysts spearhead a placemaking project that strengthens Tallahassee’s sense of place. This year, the team will build upon the Art of the Box pilot program by developing a sustainable plan to enhance art in public spaces. Through Art of the Box, six local artists had their artwork featured on the blank canvases of traffic control boxes.
By working to enrich Tallahassee’s public art scene, the Catalysts will help improve quality of life, brighten streetscapes, provide opportunity for local creatives, and offer greater accessibility to artwork.
