Art of the Box Expands
The 2021 Art of the Box Catalyst team successfully collaborated with the County and City to establish programs to continue Art of the Box after the team’s 1-year volunteer efforts in 2021. As part of Placemaking Week 2022, the newest Art of the Box was installed by the Leon County Library on Pedrick Road, adding an additional dimension to the Fully Booked features at Pedrick Pond Park.
KCCI’s Executive Director mentored student artist Camryn Whitley as she designed and fundraised this Art of the Box. Camryn gained real-world experience in receiving “client” feedback, governmental approvals, and working with vendors.
