Bicentennial Park Ideas
Stay tuned for an opportunity to provide feedback on a new future park in Tallahassee. In April 2024, the 2024 Community Catalyst Team is planning to have a community survey ready to gain feedback regarding this year’s project; the bicentennial park in downtown to celebrate Tallahassee’s 200th anniversary. This team of community volunteers, called KCCI Community Catalysts, officially began in February and has been busy studying the possible park area to identify design constraints and design possibilities. They are collaborating the Tallahassee chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Office of Mayor John Dailey, the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority, downtown businesses, and the community to design a bicentennial park concept in downtown Tallahassee.
Before a design proposal will be finalized they are excited to gain additional community input. The volunteer team of Community Catalysts expects to have a survey ready by early April 2024.
The goal is to create a memorable public place, in the heart of downtown, that will celebrate the city in the spirit of the Tallahassee Bicentennial.
Stay tuned for the exciting possibilities!
