While learning the importance of self-empowerment, girls in Tallahassee lended a helping hand to beautify the streets on Thursday. KCCI was excited to be part of Thursday’s beautification project downtown.
Attending past Chamber city trips have inspired past popular KCCI projects, such as the popular TLH letters and urban park along the Capital Cascades Trail, murals throughout town, and saving the historic Waterworks Building.

In a project that united Tallahassee’s college students with the highlights of their city, FSU partnered with FAMU, TCC and the Knight Creative Communities Institute to host the fourth annual Experience Tallahassee Festival.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -With FSU, FAMU and TCC, Tallahassee is home to about 80,000 college students. Some will spend most of their time in the Capital city, just hanging around campus.
The FAMUAN covers the 4th annual Experience Tallahassee Festival, which was held Saturday afternoon at Cascades Park. This event’s sole purpose was to show students the benefits of living in the Tallahassee community.
