An educational bicycle park will be the next Community Catalyst project for volunteers working with the Knight Creative Communities Institute Tallahassee.
Bicyclists in Tallahassee could soon have a new safe area, thanks to the 2020 Placemaking Project of the Knight Creative Communities Institute, also known as KCCI.
KCCI is planning a weeklong string of activities to drum up community interest on projects and ongoing efforts to build a true sense of place in Tallahassee.
KCCI was excited to be part of Thursday’s beautification project downtown. KCCI Executive Director Betsy Couch started the morning speaking with the OASIS “Girls Can Do Anything” campers about volunteerism and how they can make positive change.
While learning the importance of self-empowerment, girls in Tallahassee lended a helping hand to beautify the streets on Thursday. KCCI was excited to be part of Thursday’s beautification project downtown.
Attending past Chamber city trips have inspired past popular KCCI projects, such as the popular TLH letters and urban park along the Capital Cascades Trail, murals throughout town, and saving the historic Waterworks Building.
