The next Capital City Date Night event in downtown Tallahassee is Wednesday evening — a performance of dueling pianos at Clyde’s and Costello’s on South Adams Street.

On a picture-perfect, sunshiny Friday morning, about 1,000 people attended the official opening ceremony of Cascades Park, a 26-acre swath of downtown that curves from South Monroe Street to Apalachee Parkway.
With over 375,000 (140th on the list of U.S. metros), the Tallahasssee, Florida MSA is a statewide player by virtue of housing the capitol and a regional force thanks to its otherwise secluded location.
